The enigmatic music sensation, who gained fame on social media last year while donning a studded black rose mask, is set to perform in London this June.

Known only as Dide, the masked rapper has fueled wild speculation about his true identity, with guesses including Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah, Bukayo Saka, and Reiss Nelson, Chelsea’s Noni Madueke, Fulham’s Alex Iwobi, and West Ham’s Michail Antonio.

In an exclusive interview with Sky News last year, Dide emphasized, “The main thing for me is the music rather than the football player. I guess fans and the public ran with all these different opinions, which is cool.”

Who is Dide? Sky News delves into the mystery of this hidden rapper.

Dide has announced his debut live show, stating, “Finally, my first live show! My first live public performance. I know you all have been getting on to me about doing one. You can’t miss this!”

The performance will be held at The Lower Third on Denmark Street in Soho, central London, on 20 June.

Interestingly, England will play Denmark in their second group-stage match of Euro 2024 in Germany that afternoon. This raises questions about the choice of venue and timing. Could it be a coincidence, or is there more to it?

Regardless, it seems he won’t be attending the match, eliminating the possibility of Saka being Dide, as Saka will be with the England squad. However, Dide may still catch the game before his performance.

There was no mention of the England game in Dide’s announcement.

“Thank you for your support,” Dide added. “See you at the show.”

Ahead of his gig announcement, Dide shared a video on social media revealing “Energy,” which could be a new track, set for release on Thursday.

Time to peel back the layers,” he wrote alongside the clip. “Mask off.”

In our interview last year, he hinted that his identity would eventually be revealed.

Fans will be eagerly watching to see if and when that moment arrives.
