Brother Sammy whose real name is Samuel Opoku is a popular gospel musician based in Kumasi and known for his impressive live worship performance. Brother Sammy is well known for most controversies but he is one of the most talented gospel musicians in Ghana.

Brother Sammy Early Life

Samuel Opoku is a powerful and popular Ghanaian gospel artist who born and raised in Kumasi. At his early age, he stayed with his mom but never knew his father. At age 9, the gospel artist lost his mather that lead him to difficult times. Due to the departure of his parent, he joined some pastors who slept on a school park named Amakwatie.

Brother Sammy Career

He used to sing only during church services and crusades with Gospel ministers like Ernest Opoku, Oware junior among others but fortunately for them, they had producers and rose to fame.

The gospel artist was still thriving for fame until he met one legend in the Gospel music industry named Seth Frimpong. Samuel opoku who is known as Brother Sammy took Seth Frimpong as a Godfather and role model. He used to do every house chores for Seth Frimpong just to encounter the blessing of God from him.

He finally met Bassy mix and sent him to a studio to record a song. Palance music then produced his first recorded song unknowingly. His recorded worship became an instant hit in Ghana.

Brother Sammy moved on to release his first album named Progress which was really massive.
