Crystal McKinney’s accusations are the latest in a string of claims against the well-known rapper and producer, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
McKinney recounts that she was a successful 22-year-old model when she first met Combs at a restaurant during Men’s Fashion Week in Manhattan. According to a federal complaint filed in New York City, the music mogul later invited her to his recording studio that same night.
Upon her arrival, McKinney found Combs in the company of several men, drinking and smoking cannabis. The lawsuit claims that she also smoked some marijuana, which she later suspected was laced with another narcotic or intoxicating substance. She then felt an intense sensation of floating. According to the complaint, Combs led her to a bathroom where he sexually assaulted her. He subsequently brought her back to the studio where she lost consciousness, later awakening in a taxi and realizing what had occurred.
Combs has not yet responded to these latest allegations.
This lawsuit comes shortly after CNN broadcasted security footage showing Combs assaulting singer Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel hallway in 2016. Cassie, legally known as Cassandra Ventura, was both his protégé and girlfriend at the time. On Sunday, the 54-year-old released a video apologizing, calling his actions “inexcusable.” However, he cannot be criminally prosecuted for this incident due to the statute of limitations.
In March, Homeland Security Investigations agents raided Combs’ homes in Los Angeles and Miami. He has faced numerous public allegations of physical and sexual violence, including sex trafficking. Notably, a lawsuit filed by Cassie in November, which accused him of beatings and abuse, was settled just one day after it was filed.
McKinney’s claim was filed under a New York City law that permits accusers to initiate civil litigation within a specific timeframe, even if the alleged events occurred long ago.
